Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using AODACheck (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

2. What AODACheck provides

AODACheck is a compliance management tool that helps Ontario businesses with AODA obligations. The Service includes:

  • Automated website accessibility scanning (WCAG 2.0 AA)
  • An AODA compliance checklist and tracking system
  • Staff training record management
  • Accessibility statement generation and hosting
  • Annual compliance report generation

3. Not legal advice

AODACheck is a software tool, not a law firm. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice. Our scanner and checklists are designed to help you identify and track compliance issues, but we make no guarantee that using AODACheck will result in full legal compliance with AODA or any other regulation. For legal advice, consult a qualified Ontario lawyer.

4. Subscription and billing

  • Plans are billed monthly or annually in Canadian dollars (CAD)
  • A 7-day free trial is available — no credit card required to start
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period
  • We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from your first payment — contact us at support@aodacheck.ca
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ notice

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to scan websites you do not own or have permission to scan
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others outside your organization
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

6. Your data

You own your data. We do not claim any rights over the content you enter into AODACheck. If you cancel your account, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, giving you time to export anything you need. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Uptime and availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, AODACheck’s liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
